Opening shop May 4th! Safety guidelines…

I’ve got my shop ready for opening day. I have a wash station set up outside my shop for you to use if you wish to wash your hands with soap and water and also hand sanitizer inside and outside or my shop for your use. I have notices hung for you to review the safety guidelines on my windows/door. The leashes can be hung on the dog butts when you walk in and you can let your dog loose in the play area and I will get them from there. I also have a jar set out for payments or I do offer Venmo payment options as well. Please limit one person in my shop at a time when dropping off or picking up your pet. I will text or call you when your pet is done and will let you know your total due at that time so you can have payment ready when you pick up. If you would feel more comfortable having me come get your pet out of your car please let me know and I will do this. I want to do my best to keep everyone safe and healthy along with getting your pets looking good! Thank you!!

COVID-19 business status

As most of you know there have been a lot of small businesses that have had to shut down operation due to the COVID-19 and I unfortunately am one of those businesses. I will have to stay closed until April 30th. I am rescheduling all my appointments during this time so please bare with me while I get those done. If you’d like to get your pet scheduled please message me if you are an existing clients and we can get them on my schedule. I am still not able to take on new clients at this time.

I’m coming back!

Hello everybody! I just had my 6 week check up and I have been told things look good. I need to gradually get back to my old abilities so starting the week of Feb 3rd I will be taking on grooming appointments but I will be reducing my weight limit that I can take on (this will increase as I get my back strength built up) and I will be reducing the amount of dogs/cats I can take on in a day/week.

So with this said, I will be starting back Feb 3rd with a weight limit of 20lbs and under (this includes nail trimming only as well). I will not be grooming on Tuesdays or Saturdays any longer. For right now I would like to stick to 3-4 dogs/cats a day until I can physically get back to where I was. This will affect also how I have been doing my scheduling as I may not be able to accommodate your pet with the exact timeframe they need in between appointments. I will do my best to accommodate you but I need to make sure I stick to the amounts of pets in a day that I can handle as I don’t want to be back in this situation again and I’m sure you don’t either 😜

The rest of this week and next I will be working on my schedule so if I have your pet scheduled after the 3rd of Feb and they are over the 20lbs please message me and we can figure out when we can possibly get them rescheduled. If your pet falls within the weight limit of 20lbs and you want to get them scheduled please message me and we will get you going again. I’m excited to get back at it even though I have enjoyed my down time as well but this busy body needs to get back to doing what I love 😁

Updates

UPDATE-I just received a phone call this morning that they need to reschedule my surgery and so my new date is going to be December 10th. If you have an appointment scheduled on the 10th or later I am unfortunately going to need to cancel that. I will be reaching out to everyone to confirm this but I wanted to give a heads up. I will not be rescheduling appts at this time as I don’t know how long I will be out for. I do plan on getting back into it as soon as I am able so I will keep you all posted! Thank you for understanding!!

More updates!

I found out yesterday that if my insurance approves my surgery I would be going in on Dec 23rd so if I have you scheduled for this day or after I am going to have to cancel your appointment at this time. If you have your dog scheduled to stay with me during this time I will still plan to keep them as my family will be available to help me with this part.

After the surgery I have been told it’s a minimum of 6 weeks recovery so I will not be scheduling any future appointments at this time until I know when I’m able to come back to work. If you have a future date set with me already for anything past Feb 10th and your pet is under 30lbs, I will keep you as scheduled for now and let you know closer to the date how things are going. I will contact everyone that I have scheduled between Dec 23rd-Feb 10th to make sure they know I won’t be able to groom their pet at this time. Bear with me if you don’t hear from me right away as I’ll try to go in order of my schedule.

I’m truly sorry about all this madness but I’m hopeful that this will give me the relief I’ve been searching for and I’ll be able to come back feeling good! Thank you all again for your kind words, prayers and most of all understanding through all of this! ❤️

Grooming announcement

Status Update for Grooming ONLY

For the past few weeks I have been off from grooming due to a back issue that I have been dealing with for almost 3 years. It was discovered that I have some bulging discs and a herniated disc and I have been trying many different types of therapy in hopes that it would take the pain away and prevent me from having surgery. However, after these past few weeks of not working I have not gotten the relief that I had been hoping for so I met with a surgeon yesterday to find out what type of surgery I would need and what type of restrictions and recovery it would entail.

Here is what I found out…the surgery will be a minor surgery to remove the fluid that has leaked from my disc and is sitting on the nerve causing me the sciatica pain. There will be restrictions of how much I can lift after the surgery and there will be a 6 week recovery period after the surgery. I have not found out yet when I am able to have the surgery as I am waiting on Insurance company, however, I am hoping to have it done the end of December.

So what this means for my grooming clients is I will have to lower my weight restrictions prior to having the surgery to be no more than 30 lbs. If your pet is even over by 1-2 lbs unfortunately I won’t be able to groom them until I am healed.

Once I have the surgery I will not be grooming any pets during the 6 week recovery time so that I can allow my back to fully heal and not irritate it by doing something I am not supposed to be doing. Once I have been given the green light from the doctor I will go back to setting up appointments for dogs within the limit that my doctor allows.

I plan to resume grooming the week of November 18th but if your pet is over the 30 lb weight limit I will NOT be able to groom them unfortunately.

*If your pet falls into the weight limit that I am allowed, then your appointment will remain as scheduled, I will not be contacting you, and we will set up your next appointment until I know for sure when I will be having the surgery.

*If your pet is over the 30 lb limit or I think they may be close to this limit, I will be contacting you to confirm that you have seen this message and let you know that once I am able to take on bigger pets we can get them back on my schedule if they wish to come back to me.

*If you have multiple pets that some meet the weight limit and some are over, I can still groom the ones in the weight limit if you wish but, I understand if it’s too much of a hassle to take them to different places so you can let me know what you’d like to do with this situation when I reach out to you.

This is not an easy post for me because so much is up in the air right now with not knowing when I will be having the surgery and also knowing that I will not be able to groom a lot of your dogs during this time. Once I know when I will be scheduled for surgery I will for sure post updates on my FB and website.

I am truly sorry for having to post this but in order for me to be able to continue doing what I love I need to fix the problem. Thank you all for being SO understanding and kind during this process I truly do have an awesome bunch of clients! ❤️

Health break

I have been trying to avoid having to make this post but I have gotten to the point where I have no choice…

For the last three weeks I have been battling with a thrown out back and it has brought me to my knees a couple of times. I have been doing therapy for it in hopes it will get better and it has a little, but I’m still not 100%. I have a consult with a surgeon coming up but I have not decided yet that this is the route I will take so right now what I need to do is take some time off from grooming so that I can continue with the therapy that I am doing and to let my back heal.

What this means is that if you have your pet scheduled with me to get groomed in the next 4 weeks I will be contacting you to let you know that I will not be able to groom them until I’m better. This ultimately will mean that it may be 8 weeks before I can reschedule them. I am so frustrated that I have to do this as I know it will cause an inconvenience and you may have to look for someone else to groom your pet during this time. I have to do this though or I won’t be able to continue grooming and I do not want that!

I will be contacting those that are scheduled within the next 4 weeks by text or phone call to make sure you’ve seen this post and are aware of what is going on and get you scheduled out after my healing time.

Again I’m SO sorry to be doing this but I’ve been told numerous times “that you can’t pour from an empty cup” so I need to get my cup refilled. Thank you so much for understanding and working with me during this time.
